I've been in graphic design for about 8 years now, starting with PaintShop Pro 5. I've ventured randomly into 2D and 3D art, however, I've remained faithful to the "old ways," a self-taught artist drawing for almost 2 decades in virtually every non-digital medium on the market (pencil, charcoal, watercolour, etc.). Am a published poet (7x poeticpower.com; misc. anthologies), and was hailed as one of the top 33 poets in America (2000). Am always looking for more difficult projects to enhance not only my own skills, but to bring a bit more colour into the world.
I don't like techno-babble, ie: b.s., so you shouldn't expect it from me. It's been commented that my portfolio is very personal, and isn't that what it should be? Writing and art is a part of the self, and if you don't make it personal, it turns out like crap. It's the difference between two exact pieces of art or writing: one looking great because you have the passion for it, and the other is just "good."
Am not like others, where am a "yes, sir; no, sir" type (unless that's to answer a question). You want spunk? That's me. You want honesty? That's me. Am shy at first, but am good at what I do. Am fluid as CSS designs - I've been in almost every work type of situation, from waking up at 5AM (or earlier) or staying up past midnight to finish a project or program. Throw something at me, and I'll do it; and if I don't know it, I'll learn it. Am versatile, I crave learning, and I crave challenges. I can work in groups or solo. I can work on the back-end or the front-end with the clients. I have no form, am a "phantom." :)
I can be of assitance in English, Polish, and French, in graphics/design and tech support. Oh, and I don't bite! :) ( (That's why my contact is up on every page.)
